Our loaves are slow-fermented, which means no commercial yeast, artificial preservatives, or shortcuts — just flour, water, salt, 30+ year old wild yeast culture, a little olive oil and time. That long fermentation makes the bread easier to digest and gives it its signature flavor and crumb.

Absolutely! We love being part of life’s special moments. Whether it’s a cookie table for a wedding, favors for a graduation party, or a custom order for a shower or celebration, we’re happy to work with you on flavors, quantities, and timing. Reach out with your event date and details as early as you can (especially for weddings and larger tables) so we can make sure it’s on our bake schedule.

Yes, they freeze beautifully! Our sourdough loaves, cookies, and cinnamon rolls all hold up wonderfully in the freezer — just wrap tightly and pop them in when you bring them home. Pro tip: slice your loaf before freezing, so you can pull out just a piece or two at a time instead of thawing the whole thing. When you’re ready, thaw at room temp or toast straight from frozen, and it’ll taste freshly baked all over again. It’s the easiest way to always have Five Loaves on hand, exactly when you need it.
